jizo ceremony (sun. aug. 22)
Honour friends and family you’ve lost with a Japanese Buddhist ceremony. Sitting in silence, we’ll make a small garment that, after a walk into the woods, we place on trees, shrubs, and Jizo statues. Disintegrating over time, they bear witness to our loss and remembrance.
